First Light at United Friends School is a full-day program designed for one and two-year-olds, offering a nurturing environment where curiosity, play, and exploration guide every experience.
Grounded in Quaker values and inspired by nature, the program encourages children to discover the world around them through hands-on, sensory-rich activities that support early social, emotional, and cognitive development.
"My child is happy and smiling , that is the most precious thing for me. I appreciate how teachers are kind and welcoming!"
-UFS Parent

A Natural Extension
of the UFS Experience
Located on the first floor of our main building, First Light is integrated into the life of the school while remaining specially designed for toddlers.
The space has been renovated to meet all licensing requirements and to support curiosity, comfort, and exploration.
As part of United Friends School, First Light offers families the opportunity to begin their child’s journey in a community that values joyful learning, inclusivity, and lifelong curiosity.
