Preschool (Ages 3-4)
At United Friends School, learning begins with play. Our preschool friends explore, experiment, and create through hands-on activities and innovative projects that are developmentally appropriate and designed to foster curiosity and growth.
Through playful experiences, children naturally develop:

Early literacy: vocabulary, letter recognition, storytelling, and listening skills

Early math: counting, patterns, sorting, and simple problem-solving

Scientific thinking: observation, experimentation, and inquiry about the natural world

Social-emotional skills: self-regulation, collaboration, empathy, and confidence in group settings

Creativity & imagination: dramatic play, art, and open-ended exploration
Daily experiences — including Morning Meeting, Music, PE, and collaborative projects — nurture intellectual, social, and emotional development in a joyful, play-based environment where children love to learn.
The preschool program is a 5-day program with full-day or half-day options. Students have a half-day off after lunch (8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.). Tuition is charged based on either a full-day or a half-day.
UFS Playgroup
UFS Playgroup is a 3-day, part-time preschool program (M/W/F 8:15 a.m.—1:00 p.m.) that encourages children to explore, ask questions, and discover through hands-on learning. In our nurturing and creative environment, children build confidence, curiosity, and empathy while developing early skills in literacy, math, science, and problem-solving.
Through structured projects, play-based exploration, and guided activities, your child will develop a love of learning and a strong foundation for future success.
