The Importance of Movement in Early Childhood Development
The earliest years of life are truly magical and play a vital role in a child's growth and development. This is why enrichment classes focused on movement and play are so impactful! Every jump, run, and kick is not just about having fun; it’s about laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning and healthy habits.

During these early years, movement and learning go hand in hand. Each jump, run, and kick contributes to building your child’s brain, body, and confidence. Regular physical activity, combined with guided play, strengthens young muscles and stimulates cognitive growth by increasing blood flow to the brain.

A Beloved Program Returns to UFS!
We are thrilled to announce the return of a valued program to United Friends School (UFS)! Before 2020, All-Star Sports was an effective way to build engagement and connection, not only within the UFS community but also with the surrounding neighborhood families.
We are excited to reopen our doors for this enjoyable and essential enrichment program! It can be difficult for parents to find engaging and enjoyable programs for young children. That’s why UFS is stepping up to provide exciting early childhood enrichment opportunities through All Star Sports on Wednesday evenings. These programs are designed to engage young children in fun activities that inspire creativity and foster learning.

All-Star Sports Sampler is now open for enrollment! Our evening classes are specially designed for toddlers (ages 2–3) and preschoolers (ages 4–5), offering a joyful introduction to movement, teamwork, and active play, all in a peaceful, non-competitive environment that reflects the values of our UFS community.
In each class, children will:
Develop gross motor skills through running, jumping, and kicking
Build fine motor skills with catching, throwing, and hand-eye coordination
Grow social skills by learning teamwork, listening, and sharing in a supportive setting
Encouraging playful movement in children not only keeps them active but also helps them develop into confident and joyful learners. Each game and activity nurtures their bodies, minds, and spirits, laying a foundation for a lifelong love of physical activity and collaboration. Every movement matters, as skills learned in these early years support their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. By prioritizing play, you set the stage for a healthier, happier future for your child.
Let’s embrace the wonder of childhood and make every jump, run, and kick count!

Share the Joy: A Family Experience
In our supportive environment, parents are asked to stay and observe the class. This is a wonderful opportunity to support your child's growth and enrichment. Witnessing them learn a new skill, cheer for a teammate, or proudly follow directions is a priceless experience you won't want to miss!
All classes are guided by caring coaches who create a peaceful, skill-based environment where every child can feel confident.
