At United Friends School (UFS), we see firsthand how transformative a Quaker education can be. Our students don’t just memorize facts—they learn to ask big questions, think critically, and cultivate a deep sense of integrity and purpose. But for many families, the cost of a private school education is simply out of reach. That’s where The Friends Collaborative (TFC) and the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program come in.

Make a Direct Impact with Your Tax Dollars

Each year, Pennsylvania residents and business owners pay thousands in state taxes—but what if that money could go directly toward helping a child receive a life-changing education? Through the EITC program, you can redirect a portion of your state tax liability to scholarships, providing opportunities for students who otherwise wouldn’t have access to our school.

An Opportunity That Costs You Almost Nothing

Through the EITC program, participants receive a 90% tax credit for their contributions—meaning for every $1,000 you contribute, it only costs you $100 out of pocket. A small cost with a life-changing impact.

For many families, this is a way to give back without taking on additional financial burden. It’s not just philanthropy—it’s a smart, strategic way to invest in the next generation.

Why Your Support Matters

A UFS education isn’t just about academics. It’s about nurturing the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, and socially. It’s about teaching students to be compassionate leaders, to care for their communities, and to approach the world with curiosity and courage.

When you participate in the EITC program, you’re not just funding tuition—you’re investing in a future where more children have access to this kind of transformative learning. You’re helping to shape a generation of young people who will go on to make a real difference in the world.

How Does It Work?

Apply to the program – It’s a straightforward process with guidance available.

Make a two-year commitment – Contribute an amount based on your PA state tax liability.

Receive a 90% state tax credit – That means a $10,000 contribution results in a $9,000 tax credit, making the net cost just $1,000.

Your contribution turns into scholarships – Supporting students at UFS and other Friends schools.
