United Friends School was founded in 1984 by parents seeking an independent education for children. Since its founding, UFS has centered our work on the Quaker principles of care for one another, truthfulness, simplicity, community, and peaceful conflict resolution. As UFS grows, we remain bound by our founding principles and continue to make the commitment to not only support but also enrich the education of our United Friends School students. Students who attend UFS discover the power of experiential learning, learn how to solve issues in the community, and tap into a love of learning and discovery that lasts a lifetime. Students leave UFS with an understanding of what it means to see the Light in themselves and in others and are well prepared to stand apart through high school and beyond. Philanthropy is an essential part of the lifeblood that sustains United Friends School and helps our students grow. Every dollar of school-designated (unrestricted) gifts helps pay for everything that goes into a UFS education daily. Your gift, at a level that feels good for you (gifts to UFS start at $1), has a direct impact on our students’ experiences throughout the class year. The flexibility of an unrestricted gift also helps us provide tuition assistance to 61% of our families, a commitment rooted in our Quaker testimonies of equality and community.

We will host a volunteer training session for any volunteers asked to help with our fundraising events and other volunteer needs at UFS.
