Whether you are parents or caregivers who need daily after-school care, or who need care at a moment’s notice, United Friends School has an after-school option to serve you. The After School Care runs from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. This service is available only to full-day UFS students on a regular or irregular schedule. Each session begins with snacks and drinks, which are provided at no additional cost. Children often play outdoors, spend time in our Big Room playing games, participate in a planned activity, or just relax or read. Children always have the option of doing homework. Our purpose is to provide a safe, fun and interactive program that is in harmony with the mission of the school.

UFS also offers additional after-school enrichment programs and sports throughout the year. Information and sign-up sheets for these programs arrive throughout the school year.

Annual Registration Fee: $50/child

Hourly Fee: $8 per child per hour

Any child picked up after 6 p.m. will be charged an additional fee of $1 per minute late.

Summer Camps

Every summer, United Friends School offers a wide range of summer day camps for youth ages 4-14 that run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Our camps have included exciting weekly topics such as cooking, science experiments, soccer, drumming, conservation, gardening and much more. Our camps are often taught and designed by our very own teachers who bring to their summer camps the same experience and excellence we have come to expect in their classrooms.

Sports and Athletic Programssoc1

UFS offers several seasonal sports programs for students. Through our sports program, we recognize and foster the invaluable experience team sports provide our students in building confidence, gaining healthy exercise habits for life, working in a team, and learning the lessons of winning and losing. Our teams practice two to four times a week after school and compete with other local independent schools. Our coaches use a philosophy of inclusivity and focus on the experience.

Fall: Soccer- open to students in grades 4-8

Winter: Basketball- open to students in grades 4-8

Spring: Track and Field- open to students grades 3-8

Any student who plans to participate in UFS after-school athletics during any of the sport seasons will be required to complete and submit a physical form. Students who are required to have a physical for enrollment in 6th grade can use that physical for athletics and vice versa. There is a $150.00 participation fee per sport.

Counseling and Guidance

United Friends School receives counseling and guidance services from the Intermediate Unit and Catapult Learning Counseling & Psychological Services.  A certified school counselor provides a half-day service once a week for counseling. When students have been referred for testing, they are provided testing as soon as possible.  The school also receives speech and language, as well as learning support services through Bucks County Intermediate Unit.

Lunch Offerings

Students provide their own lunches and drinks. We strongly encourage families to pack well-balanced, nutritious lunches and snacks. All lunches and drinks should be packed in re-sealable containers. We have an active composting program for all fruit and vegetable waste, and, when possible, send home all trash and leftovers in lunch boxes. We are dedicated to teaching our students to avoid creating excess waste and encourage them to use thermoses instead of disposable juice packs, etc. Soda is NOT permitted at UFS lunch or snack times.
