"Raise the Roof! Continue the Dream!" is our current initiative to support the growing needs of our academic and arts programs. The Board of UFS has determined that the next critical step in our school's growth is to plan a multi-part upgrade of our facility so that our exceptional faculty may continue to inspire our children, as well as attract the next generation of families, to our remarkable school.

Details of the "Raise the Roof! Continue the Dream!" plan include:

1. A "green" renovation of our 10th Street building. This includes exterior repairs, painting, window replacement for energy efficiency, basement moisture control, installation of HVAC upgrades and handicap accessibility. The classroom and hall space will be enhanced, including a variety of aesthetic improvements. Our commitment to UFS's original building will affirm our founding vision.
   
2. Creating a dedicated math and science classroom in the 10th Street attic. We will create a beautiful, "wired," and centrally located classroom that will generate a sense of wonder about science and math for our entire community. The renovation will allow us to make our math and science facility larger, better equipped, more accessible and environmentally responsible as we serve the next generation of UFS students.
   
   Committees have been hard at work planning, managing and soliciting for the effort. The UFS Board has determined that the funding must be in place beforehand, thereby having a minimal impact on our operating budget.
