Spirited Practice and Renewed Courage (SPARC)

Congratulations to our Rustin class teacher Sarai Nieves on her acceptance into the SPARC program with Friends Council on Education. The SPARC program, Spirited Practice and Renewed Courage, is a leadership development program based on principles from Park Palmer’s “Courage to Teach” work. Sarai will participate in this two-year program with a cohort. Together they will engage in critical reflection, dialogue and feedback to explore personal and professional growth. Along with two-dozen teachers nationwide, Sarai has been selected to take part in this learning community. Thank you, Sarai, for your continued growth and self-directed, reflective, professional development.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the children we serve.
