Dear Friends,

I consider my job as Director of Admissions to be the best job on campus.  During every tour I  am inspired by the innovative and exciting things that are happening  in each classroom.  Visitors leave equally excited about our stellar school.  It is, therefore, no surprise that enrollment for the 2012-13 school year is so healthy. The size of our  Middle School will almost double and the elementary grades are very strong.

Admissions Directors in Independent Schools keep track of inquiry, enrollment, attrition and retention data. We can compare this data to the national and area trends of other schools through NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).  For the 2012-13 school year I have been able to submit the strongest statistical data of my tenure.

UFS has the physical capacity to enroll 155 students.  If half of our current parents brought in one new family we would reach that goal.  If you need guidance on “how” to  spread the word or if there is a particular family you would like me to contact please let me know. Word of mouth continues to be the number one way families hear about UFS. You are our most effective marketing tool.

Warm regards,

Marie Knapp, Admissions Director
